Covid Safe Tour that caters to students and families by providing a outdoor history experience.

The tour will start in the “Historic Alley” Porterdale GA. The Alley is located right next door to Maddlulu (Cold Drinks and Smoothies) normally open 10 am-7 pm Wed.- Sat. & Milazzos Italian Restaurant normally open for dinner 5pm-10m Wed.-Sat.  If you would like to eat dinner at Milazzos after your tour please call our office 770-728-8170 and we will schedule your reservation for you. This tour is currently all walking although there are times when we may decide to caravan down to the historic park and river 2 minute drive. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes. We recommend Tennis Shoes as we are walking outdoors and may encounter grass, rocks, stones etc. There are also hills and a set of stairs on this outdoor walking tour. If we decide to caravan down to the historic park and river, you will be asked to drive your own vehicle behind us for the 1-2 min ride. Expect to get out of the house with your children and family and burn off a bit of energy while getting some exercise. If you have a private group of 10 you can bring your family pet. If you would like to order drinks or smoothies prior to your tour from Maddlulu, please arrive at least 15 minutes early as all drinks are made to order. Your tour guide will meet you in the Alley and will contact you at the cell phone number on your reservation by phone and or text to confirm your reservation and touch basis with you prior to your tour. Your tour guide will meet you right in front of the Alley. The Alley has historic bricks labeled with the names of contributing members of the Village.

The speed limit in Porterdale Georgia is 25 miles per hour, and 35 miles per hour on many of the surrounding streets leading in and out of Porterdale. Enter 2001 Main Street Porterdale GA 30014 in your GPS this will bring you to the building where we will meet. Milazzos Italian Restaurant and Maddlulu Coffee Shop are in front . There is Free street parking in front of the closed building next door and Free Parking behind the building. Please Meet Tour Guides in the front of the Alley.

Is there parking available?

Free Parking is available at each tour’s starting location.

Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?

Yes, advance ticket purchase is required. Events typically sell out quickly. To maximize your chances of getting the date, time, and number of tickets you prefer, please book well in advance.

Do I need to tip?

Gratuities are greatly appreciated. The standard gratuity in the service industry is 15%-20%. Please have exact change for your tour guides.

What do we do in case of bad weather?

In the event of inclement weather such as rain, thunder, lightning, excessive heat or cold. We reserve the right to issue a raincheck or alternate date to tour guests. All tickets are non-refundable.

What should I bring with me?

You should bring with you a camera and a small bottle of water. When it’s really hot out, we recommend an application of sunscreen & Bug Spray on exposed parts of the body and a lightweight pair of sunglasses. During the cooler seasons it’s important to wear an extra layer of clothing and consider bringing gloves. If it looks like rain please bring an umbrella. If it is pouring rain on a walking tour we may reschedule your tour date. Consider close toe shoes as we may walk in some grassy areas.
