Yes we recommend taking one of our day tours and our night ghost tour for the full historical story of our quaint village.

Free Parking is available at each tour’s starting location.

Children are allowed on “Day” Tours the Haunted History at Dusk/Ghost Tours are for adults 18 and over only unless you book a private group of 10

Yes, advance ticket purchase is required. Events typically sell out quickly. To maximize your chances of getting the date, time, and number of tickets you prefer, please book well in advance.

Gratuities are greatly appreciated. The standard gratuity in the service industry is 15%-20%. Please have exact change for your tour guides.

Yes, bathrooms are available during the tour

In the event of inclement weather such as rain, thunder, lightning, excessive heat or cold. We reserve the right to issue a raincheck or alternate date to tour guests. All tickets are non-refundable.

At this time, we do not offer tours in any other languages except English. If you can speak a foreign language and are interested in being a tour guide please email us at porterdalehistorytour@gmail.com

We absolutely do! We can accommodate a variety of special requests (Family Reunions, Birthday parties, out of town guests, corporate, conventions, festivals, parades, grand openings and more). Due to the pandemic we are limited to groups of 10.

You should bring with you a camera and a small bottle of water. When it’s really hot out, we recommend an application of sunscreen & Bug Spray on exposed parts of the body and a lightweight pair of sunglasses. During the cooler seasons it’s important to wear an extra layer of clothing and consider bringing gloves. If it looks like rain please bring an umbrella. If it is pouring rain on a walking tour we may reschedule your tour date. Consider close toe shoes as we may walk in some grassy areas.
